Orienteering in North Wales
Search & Find
Orienteering is an activity that involves team-work, mutual respect and listening as well as carrying out instructions and being risk aware – not to mention problem solving and analytical skills, shared experience and new skills that all lead to a huge sense of achievement.
This activity is the perfect combination of physical exercise (cross-country walking and running) combined with brain engaging skills (navigation).
Completely different from other activities, orienteering enables students/participators to discover the new outdoor environment independently, albeit under the watchful eye of a qualified Instructor.
You’ll learn how to navigate using a compass in unfamiliar terrain and often moving fast; you’ll learn how to use a map and get yourself from one point to another until the course is finished.
For safety, this activity is always done in pairs
