Hill Walking in North Wales

On top of the world!

You may wonder “Why do we need Instructors to take us up a hill walk?” Well quite simply, because we live in North Wales, we know how you can get the best out of our beautiful Welsh Homeland.

Moel Famau is the highest hill in the Clwydian Range and the highest point of the county of Flintshire in Wales. It lies on the boundary between Denbighshire and Flintshire. The hill, which also gives its name to the Moel Famau country park, has been classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1985.

The North Wales mountainous areas are well known to experience quickly changing weather conditions. We are fully qualified to lead groups, at any time of the year, in a safe way that means you can get out into the wilds safely.

We teach you navigation skills, route planning, hazard planning so you can be sure that you’re safe and can focus on soaking up the atmosphere and saying “Wow – Look at that view! I’m on top of the world”.

Hill walking can present personal physical challenge as well as mental challenge – but we tailor the walks to the abilities of the group, so yes, we’ll stretch you, but we’ll make sure you’ll enjoy the unique environment that the high mountain landscape presents.
